Montessori Fail

  1. Oh, don't worry... When she starts school she will realize that if she leaves materials on the floor nobody else will be able to work with them, so she'll immediately "get with the program". :) The joys of having many children in one classroom can't be understated!!

  2. Yes, there are so many challenges to having only one and being their mother! Kids don't listen to their mothers at all.. but other kids are such a great motivator :)

  3. Most children in Montessori fail. It is without doubt the most theoretical form of education, tried and tested on selected persons only. It does not address cultural aspects and psychological aspects fall by the wayside. Secondary education using Montessori's methods fail abysmally.

  4. Thank you for your comment, Anonymous troll :) I'd hate to hear what you think about *my* secondary education as an unschooler... At least I might buy that as untested and theoretical since its pedagogy is not over 100 years old ;)
